Hows Your Walk?

Fishing was awesome again last night ! Me, Brad and Shawn were a group that went out. I could only explain what took place as our very " steps were ordered by God." It was like people were placed in different places in order for the Gospel to be shared.

The Lord does put people in our path, when we walk on His Path.

Proverbs 16:9 - A man’s heart plans his way,

But the LORD directs his steps.

Psalms 37: 23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD,

And He delights in his way.

24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down;

For the LORD upholds him with His hand.

Walk .....dont skip because you might miss sombody ! - Robert

Christ Follower or Christian? Why?

I do not know about you, but I'm tired of the whole Christ follower vs. Christian debate. I was thinking about it tonight and the whole think began annoying me again. I wish people would give their life to Christ instead of trying to be the most hip version of a Christian. Lets get real. You know what really gets me down is the Christian Followers. That's right, you know who you are. You are the ones who follow us Christians around watching every move waiting to pounce. I want you to know that I pray for you. I really hope that you will realize what Christ has done for us. Repent and put your trust in Him. Wow, I just preached on a blog site. Awesome. These Christian followers really get me down some time. These people know all about the Bible and church history but still will not give their lives to Christ. I talked to a man about a relationship with Christ the other day on a fishing trip. He knew all about how to become a Christian but would not repent and put his trust in Him. I asked him what held him back. He responded that He once knew a preacher that preached on Sundays but drank on Saturdays. He said " why would i want to be like him?" wow. A poor witness of a Christian follower was holding his feet to the fire. You know how to know if you are a Christian? When you do wrong ( sin), do you get away with it? I can not get away with anything. Even when I want to! I was in my quite time the other day when a man knocked on my door. He was at my house to tear down and haul off my dog pen. I helped him out and then walked inside to finish my reading. As soon as I grabbed my Bible I felt like an idiot. I never witnessed to this guy! Wasted a perfectly good opportunity. I thought hey maybe next time. Starting where I left off in my reading the verse read and i quote " Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time." Col.4:5,6. The Lord spoke to me to get off my tail and go witness to that man. If you know Jesus as Lord... He will let you know when to jump up and go! ( yes I did go, thanks for asking ;-)

seen him twice..odd but not really

While driving the other day, I felt as if i should offer a man walking a ride because it was starting to rain. When the gentleman got in he stated that he would only need a quick lift to the store to put in his application for a job. I knew i would only have a few moments to present the gospel to a dying man. After the small talk and name exchange it was time for him to depart as I was at his destination. It had to be quick, to the point and God speaking through me... it might be his last chance. I remembered I had a million dollar tract and as he exited my truck, i presented him with it and said " Please read this because it tells of Jesus and Jesus has saved and changed my Life... and he can do the same for you." To my amazement, he sat back in my truck and asked if I had a minute to hear him. I pulled into a parking space and it began. He remembered that long ago I had given him and his brother a ride and then giving him the same tract. I was astounded because i had forgotten about that because it has been over a year. I knew that he was a dying man because he said he did not know if he was going to heaven when he died. I took him to the cross and explained what Jesus had done for us because he loved us. He did not profess Jesus as his Lord ... oh but he is so close. Pray for him. his name is Casey. seen him twice and God set up both appointments. How awesome is God... He alone is awesome!
